After some delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, WAMDA was able to acknowledge our 2021 award recipients virtually on March 30th. The Special Recognition Awards recognize two nutrition professionals for outstanding service to WAMDA, their dedication and expertise in the field of nutrition. Congratulations to Melanie Wilk and Lisa Lovell!

The 29th Annual WAMDA 5K Run/Walk was held virtually from March 1 to March 9 with a total of 105 participants, 30 sponsors, and a number of donors! Thank you everyone who contributed in some way!

WAMDA's 29th Annual 5K Run/Walk Goes Virtual
After much consideration and discussion among the board of directors, WAMDA has decided to change our 29th Annual 5K Walk/Run to a fully virtual event. Regardless, we still hope to match, if not beat last year's funds raised for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.

Festival of Trees 2021
WAMDA decorated and donated a "Spice up you Diet (instead of salt)" tree at the Festival of Trees, which ran from November 26- December 12 at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield. Proceeds benefit the Springfield Boys and GIrls Club.
