Hello Fellow WAMDA members! We have openings on our road race committee this year!
WAMDA is planning for the 27th Annual WAMDA Fitness 5K Road Race/Walk and Health Fair to benefit the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. The race will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Look Park in Florence, MA with usual headquarters in the Garden House. Last year, because of the generous donations and committed volunteers, we were able to donate over $5,000 to the Food Bank, which equates to almost15,000 meals for those in need in our community!
We are currently seeking:
- 2 people for sponsorship committee - sponsorship committee will contact local businesses and individuals to request monetary/prize donations for our race.
- 1-2 people food/beverage committee - food/beverage committee will contact local vendors for food and beverage donations as well help to staff the refreshment table on race day.
Committee positions do not require attendance at WAMDA board meetings and many of the tasks can be done from the comfort of your own home!
